8 years ago, I ran into the most beautiful girl I'd ever laid eyes on.
It took some convincing, but she finally came around and acknowledged the undeniable awesomeness that would result if we became a thing.
So, we became a thing. A few years later, we produced something pretty awesome.
We called him, Nathaniel.
He made our hearts soar from the first moment we laid eyes on him. Everything about him exuded an incredible depth of love, so we prayed over him the Psalmist's prayer, "One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple."
2 years later, more awesomeness ensued.
We called him, Ethan.
He exuded strength and passion from the moment he first smiled at us. Fully aware of what he wants and how he wants it, we prayed over him a Psalm by a musician bearing the same name, "I will sing of the lovingkindness of the Lord forever; To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. For I have said, “Lovingkindness will be built up forever; In the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness."
Not a day goes by that I don't bow my head in gratitude to my Father in heaven for blessing me with such a beautiful loving family!
But we're not done telling our story.
This April, we're adding another chapter.
I've secretly hoped of someday having one. My wifey clearly always wanted one. Nathaniel is all like, "Yay! I can't wait to have one" and Ethan is all like, "Can I have some cheese sticks?"
Come April, Ethan will get his cheese sticks! And the Aiyegbusi narrative will become even more epic.
Can't wait! :)
